NEW STUFF!

ALMOST SPRING GREETINGS...

Btw, sorry for the late newsletter; we had some unexpected delays, including server issues with Constant Contact.

The fun pic above was taken by Tom Hickey; we were guest instructors at CCR Dance in OC. Thanks Laurie! Good thing I made Phil wear my heart glasses... they looked almost as good as the Valentine/Witch Hat that I made. Is it trending yet? Lol.

Also Phil & I had a Valentine Dance at Elks on Feb. 13th with over 100 peeps. Thanks everyone. We had a record high in Intermediate class of 43 peeps. And thanks to the secret admirer who asked me to pass out roses to ALL of the ladies that night wow! But I enjoyed taking the credit Lol.

Speaking of parties...

CAKES ARE READY FOR TONIGHT LOL!

CORONAVIRUS/HEALTH CONCERNS

As with many of you, Phil & I have had growing concerns about the Coronavirus; we have a huge responsibility with our precious dance family. We have been keeping very informed, through many sources. We have been checking in to see what other event directors & teachers are doing in our community. We have already taken many steps to help lower risks, in the hopes to keep us all healthy.

1. As noted, we are staying on top of daily updates, to make the best decisions.

2. We are cleaning/disinfecting tables, doorknobs, surfaces etc. at venues where we teach. We do the extra cleaning before people arrive, each day.

3. We are asking that people use our hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol) as soon as they sign in. We also put hand sanitizers out at different stations & tables. Also please go to the bathroom frequently to wash your hands for 20 seconds. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, & mouth.

4. We will have a box of sanitary gloves out, in case anyone wants a pair. We will have our cake servers wearing them.

5. We are using throw away plastic table cloths for now.

6. We are providing back-up soap & paper towels for bathrooms, in case the venues run out.

7. We have transitioned to individually wrapped snacks, for less germs.

8. We need everyone's help to help each other. If you are not feeling well, may be sick, or have been within 6 feet of anyone who may have the virus, you are loved but you are not welcome at our dance event. Please stay home & take great care of yourself. This goes for any flu or contagious health issue.

9. If you have traveled recently to any of the countries having outbreaks, please wait at least 14 days upon return, before joining us to dance.

LET'S GET THROUGH THIS TOGETHER, WITH LOTS OF TLC FOR OURSELVES & EACH OTHER. XO.

HOLIDAY POUNDS FOLLOW-UP

Since last month's stories about gaining weight for Phil & I, people have now been commenting that Phil looks like he has lost weight. But maybe that's because I gained weight, & he just appears to be thinner Lol. Also I had a breakthrough & realized my weight gain was probably muscle weight, since I had been dancing more, & working out harder.

DANCE TEAM NEW ROUTINE & PAST PERFORMANCE!

We have started a brand new routine; so excited! Please let us know if interested in joining. This is an ideal time to begin. Phil & I are inspired with some choreography ideas from our chosen song. Thanks to Dario for suggesting the tune. Here is our Team's most recent performance at 1st Saturday, June 1st. Thanks to Steve Stingley for the video. BRAVO DANCERS!

CALL YOU OUT!

Here is where we get to pick on our readers, instead of each other Lol.

A few weeks ago while I was teaching Advanced WCS class at Elks... we all heard a screaming woman at the front sign in desk omg! Phil was out there with Frank & Linda. Yes... it was Linda screeching. Because Phil had just told her & Frank that the main reason why we had bigger turnouts at Elks lately was due to Frank being front & center of the new promo video for our FB invite. Call you out, Linda! We still love you.

TUNE-UP YOUR PLAYLIST!

We want to share with you our favorite songs!

MINDIA'S SONG PICK
"Nice to Meet Ya" by Meghan Trainor & Nicki Minaj

* Please add our joint business e-mail to your contact/address book, to avoid Spam difficulties: info@PhilAndMindiaDance.com Please use this contact for any future communications.

* All of our classes are drop-in (some do run in a series). No partner needed for any of our classes. No prior dance experience needed for Beginner classes. Two left feet are welcomed; we will introduce you to your right foot! (Phil wanted credit for that last comment.)

* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.

We hope that you have enjoyed this episode of "As the Dancer Turns..." I know that we have! Stay tuned for more entertaining issues.

Hope to see you dancing soon,
