NEW STUFF!

SURPRISE AGAIN! Pretty good timing since the last newsletter. Thank you very much! Here is our quick check-in. (We plan to have our usual, full story newsletter once a month before our 1st Saturday Event.)

Great classes last week... old faces (not meaning age-wise), new faces, & lots of laughs! We had one of our biggest beginner classes on Thursday night with Larry. Shout out to Jason for so often bringing your young & lively friends. (And the rest of you are not old & boring haha!) It was inspiring to see Int. & Adv. dancers going to ask the Beginners to dance after classes. You are good role models. Reminder when dancing with beginners, or anybody else, please no critiquing or teaching. Just positive energy. We also had a few couples visiting from out of town... Chicago & Colorado. They will be back tomorrow; please ask them to dance!

ESCAPE ARTIST CAUGHT!!!

In case you don't follow our FB posts, Jasper Cat hurt his eye (unknown trauma outside). We had to take him to the animal hospital to get checked out. Treatment was eye drops, staying indoors, & the heart-breaking e-collar for the week. Oy vey! Not one of our better weeks. Jasper tried everything to get that collar off. On the 3rd day, while Phil had him trapped with his "clever eye drop administering technique", Jasper backed out between Phil's legs, & was able to pull the cone off  & escape! He was soon caught & had to wear the cone until we had a follow-up with our vet two days later. Fortunately Jasper's eye has healed quickly & is doing well. Thanks to everyone for your loving support. When I later read the discharge instructions from the animal hospital, the report checklist showed all very good findings (other than Jasoer's eye issue)... heart, lungs, vitals, coat, abdomen, etc. Jasper is lucky to be a very healthy cat. Except for one thing that was mentioned, "Mild dental tarter." That was all that they could come up with remarkable haha! Must be from his outside diet, & not the healthy food that we feed him. I asked Jasper if he wanted Daddy to start brushing his teeth. Jasper's Grandpa (my Dad) said that Jasper needed to start flossing.

* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.

We hope that you have enjoyed this episode of "As the Dancer Turns..." I know that we have! Stay tuned for more entertaining issues.
