NEW STUFF!

HAPPY AUTUMN!!! It was more than a crazy summer.... Welcome to October. We had a fun road trip in August (a real vacation, which does not happen enough haha).

Congrats to Ben & Megan Morris for entering into official coupledom, & for inspiring our trip to Mammoth & Bishop! A lovely wedding, & adventurous travels. More stories from Mindiana Jones & Grizzly Adams, just ask us.

Thanks to everyone for making my bday celebrations so great! Now that you all know I'm FOREVER 21 (see cake pics on FB), you can stop asking me my age. My brother's visit was full of laughs; hope you heard about the Brad Pitt glasses & Ariana Grande cat ears stories (see FB pics)!

Congrats to the International Flashmob performers... it was an epic show on the Santa Monica Promenade, with 34 couples & a big crowd! We also had a couple visiting from Germany & another from Switzerland who danced with our group WOW! Thanks to Rhonda & Don for supporting us, & to Steve & Marty for video & pics, & to Dennis & Carson for helping create our new banner. And thanks to Ludis for being our host at the Promenade. We had a social dance after the performance, which was high energy & definitely a party. A special shout our to the Petersons... who worked hard on Wednesday practices, but at the last minute had to go to Nebraska for family. They couldn't perform with us, so they went to a corn field, & danced the Flashmob with music & video camera! How amazing is that???? Please look up their video on youtube.

We have submitted the official (edited) video to France from the Santa Monica performance! Phil wants to add,"Sorry that I could not be at the Promenade with everyone; I was working in Arizona. Mindia was in charge, & gets an A plus for taking care of all of the responsibilities!" Good thing that I'm in charge so much of the time anyway haha! Stay tuned for more scheduled Flashmob performances throughout the year.

Phil & I have started costume shopping to get ideas for our 2016 party theme. I recently posted FB pics from the last three annual parties we had. Many great costumes. We have been... 2013: The Nascar Couple. 2014: Pregnant Mindia & expecting Phil... welcoming Baby Philindia into the world. 2015: Cat Womindia & Sexy dancer nerd Phil. 2016: ????????????

JASPER CAT NAME GAMES!

A funny thing happened when Phil went to pick up Jasper's flea medication for Costco. The jist of it: Phil has the Costco membership, so I asked our vet to put the script in Phil's name. When picking up the medication, Phil noticed the label/script order. It said, "Adams, Jasper Feline." How did that happen? I am Jasper's primary parent, "Jasper Robin" just sounds so much better, & Jasper & I have so much more in common! This led to an amusing story that I wrote (Phil added his two cents) about many ways that Jasper & I are similar! For starters, he & I both love naps, have long nails, enjoy tuna fish, are sweet/loving in general, but aggressive when necessary, are highly sensitive, & we both have many nick names. The full story is too long to add here; please let me know if you want me to email you the rest of it.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Phil & I will be GUEST INSTRUCTORS at two upcoming dance events!

We are calling out Larry.  Recently after a night at our weekly Thursday event, he left three things... his shoes, his credit card, & his mind haha! Gues that means he & MaryAnn were having so much fun, that nothing else mattered haha! So happy to have you both coming out to play with us.

TUNE-UP YOUR PLAYLIST!

We want to share with you our favorite songs of the week!

Mindia's Pick: : "Sexy" by Kool and the Gang

* Once you have moved up from our Beginner level classes to Intermediate and then later Advanced, you are welcome to continue taking our Beginner classes for FREE! We want to encourage you to continue working on your basics; that is most important to develop a strong foundation. The best dancers usually are the ones who have worked on their basics for years. When you keep taking Beginner classes, you are also helping the new students to progress faster, since they get to rotate & dance with more experienced dancers.

We hope that you have enjoyed this episode of "As the Dancer Turns..." I know that we have! Stay tuned for more entertaining issues.

Please explore our website for more info. We are also available for private dance lessons. Send us Facebook friend requests if you want to be informed/updated by our Newsfeed and Wall Posts.

Hope to see you dancing soon,
